About Me

My motto is “Spread Some Art Around”!  Can you help me achieve this goal?  When you’re gift shopping, consider giving art!
I’ve loved to draw and paint all my life.  I studied art in Maryland at Prince Georges Community College and Frostburg State University before I earned my BA in Studio Art from USC in Columbia, SC.  Go Gamecocks!   I draw and paint full time now and have for the last 20 years.  I have learned a lot of things about preserving and cleaning art, hanging art, choosing art, and the art biz in general that I would like to share with you.  If you’re an artist, art lover, art collector or art historian, I think you will enjoy reading my blog.

Since getting my degree, I’ve worked as a self employed artist at Hillview Art, my studio in Saint Matthews, South Carolina.  I recently set up a shop in Five Rivers Market on Chestnut St. in Orangeburg, SC.  See my paintings, prints, notecards, bead and paracord jewelry there.

 

You’ll often find me set up at local midlands festivals.  Look for my Hillview Art booth at The Festival of Roses in Orangeburg, SC, The Old South Farm Festival in Sunny Plains, SC, and The Fort Motte Community Reunion Festival, in Fort Motte, SC.
